There are two main categories for the Competition:
1) Outstanding Model Box
(Open to all UK & International students)
This will be awarded to the student's model box & concept whom the judges feel is the most creative and effective. This is not about creating the 'perfect' model box but we will consider the concept behind the model and how it works with play text or devised piece.
Prize Awarded - £100 e-voucher for Hobbycraft
2) Outstanding Bloomsbury Lit in Colour Model Box
(Open to all UK students)
Bloomsbury's partnership in the Lit in Colour campaign is supporting schools to make the teaching of plays more inclusive and the range of plays greater. This category will be awarded to the student's model box and concept that the judges feel is the most creative and reflects some of the key themes arising from the new curriculum play texts, as below:
Barber Shop Chronicles by Inua Ellams
The Empress by Tanika Gupta
Refugee Boy adapted for the stage by Lemn Sissay
The Great Wave by Francis Turnly
Elmina's Kitchen by Kwame Kwei-Armah
