For Mindfulness and Emotional Wellbeing
Available spots
Course Description
Drawing from her time at Plum Village and years of classroom practice, Sam shares easy-to-use, trauma-sensitive drama activities designed to support young people's emotional development. This session explores how drama can nurture inner awareness, empathy, presence, and emotional resilience in a grounded, accessible way. This webinar is free to book onto and is perfect for teachers who want to weave mindfulness and emotional wellbeing into their drama lessons. Participants will: • Take away practical, ready-to-use drama games that build emotional literacy and confidence. • Discover how drama techniques and mindful awareness can support self-regulation, grounding, and creative expression. • Gain clear tips for creating a safe, nurturing drama space. • Explore engaging exercises that cultivate gratitude, resilience, deep listening, presence, and connection. • Leave with a refreshed drama toolbox full of meaningful games and approaches that can support students' emotional health. This webinar will mainly be focused on teaching secondary drama but Sam's work in this area is also relevant to primary teachers as well. Replay will be available for 30 days after the live session if you cannot attend the live session (or are an International teacher) but the real value is being live in the session. About Sam Marsden Sam's work hopes to empower and spark people's creativity, whether through her drama teaching, teaching resources, or fiction. Her first novel Under Glass went viral on Wattpad.
