This complete scheme uses freeze frames, role play, narration, character work, comedy and ensemble performance to introduce pupils to A Midsummer Night’s Dream while developing confidence in speaking, listening and performing.
 
Pupils explore Shakespeare and the Globe Theatre, enter the magical forest, create fairy characters, discover the Mechanicals and Pyramus and Thisbe, retell the story and work towards a final spoken-Shakespeare showcase.
 
The scheme has been designed primarily for pupils aged 9–11 and is suitable for UK Years 5–6 or Grades 4–5 internationally. It can also be adapted for introductory Year 7 or transition work.
